The Director General of the Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency has commiserated with Madam Torita Odey and her family over the demise of their mother, Late Mrs Akpana who unfortunately departed this world at the age of 70.
Dr Ekpenyong, who described the late Matriarch as a peaceful and loving mother, said though she couldn’t live to see other achievements of her children, the legacies left behind will spur the children into greater achievements and life touching projects.
“Death is inevitable and that is why we all must prepare for it, going through the life of Mrs Akpana, one must learn to be patient, humble, sincere and show love to everyone who we get in contact with.
“It’s quiet unfortunate that we are here to mark Mama’s departure at age 70, it would have been interesting to have come to Ishibori to celebrate the living, but all is to the glory of God Almighty.
At 70, Mama enjoyed all the love she deserved, with amazing children who were well raised and today, well positioned in the society, we all will sure miss her and I pray that her soul will find rest in the Lord’s bossom”.
She further prayed God to bless and unite the family in love for greater exploit and growth.
