As the fight against the novel coronavirus disease , COVID-19, currently ravaging the world continues to be on the increase, global brands and organisations have lent their support to the ‘No Mask, No Movement’ policy through the imprint of face masks on their logos.
Commissioner,Ministry of International Development Cooperation, Dr Inyang Asibong , said the Ministry will henceforth have a face mask attached to its brand logo till the end of the coronavirus pandemic.
The introduction of this new idea, according to the commissioner in an interview with Journalists, was to further sensitise the Global community about the Initiative started in Cross River State, Nigeria and in solidarity with
His Excellency, Sen. (Prof.) Ben Ayade, who initiated of the ‘No Mask, No Movement’ policy to protect the people of the State against the Disease.
Asibong said, being the Ministry representing Cross River State at the International level, and which interface with Development Partners, the message achieve further spread
Already,the Coalition against COVID-19, Cacovid, which comprises of CBN, MTN, Lafarge, Flour Mills, Dangote Group, Tony Elumelu Foundation, Forte Oil, All the Nigerian Banks and top business executives and philanthropist in Nigeria, along with Vogue, Ogilvy and Mask Force are already part of the growing trend.
“This for us will also amplify the “No Mask, No Movement” combat strategy enforced across the State by His Excellency which has now been adopted globally against the pandemic.
“We also use the medium to show solidarity to all the health workers around the World, particularly in Cross River State who are in the frontline of this war” Asibong said.
The Commissioner called on all International Partners, Corporate organizations and Government Agencies in the state to join the logo trend and support Cross River State Government in their different capacity to contain the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.
