The fight to ensure that Cross Riverians remains safe, sound, healthy and free of the Coronavirus Global Pandemic continues with various Organizations/Groups showing solidarity, love, and support for the Cross River State Government who is giving out palliatives to her citizens to help reduce the global effects that came alongside this pandemic.
The Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC), makers of Coca Cola, Eva water and other trademark brands has today donated a truck load of water and Carbonated Soda drinks to the Cross River State COVID-19 Response Taskforce team which is to be distributed as palliative provisions to residents of the State through the usual State’s Food Bank Commission which was earlier flagged off by H.E the Executive Governor of the State Sen Prof Ben Ayade on Wednesday the 15th day of April, 2020.
On ground to receive the items were the First Lady of the State, Her Excellency Dr Mrs Linda Ayade and the Secretary of The Taskforce/Commissioner for Finance, Hon Asuquo Ekpenyong. Reacting to their magnanimity, love and support for the State, Her Excellency Dr Linda Ayade thanked NBC for the support promising that the said items will be added to the provisions/palliative that will be distributed across the 18 LGAs of the State. She thanked them for standing with the State at this critical moment assuring them that such kind gestures will never be forgotten in a hurry.


The Honorable Commissioner for Finance who doubles as the Secretary of the COVID-19 Taskforce team on behalf of the committee expressed his satisfaction to NBC who he said has stood by the State at the very moment when they are mostly needed, he reiterated the committee’s willingness and dedication to keep doing their best to ensure that the State continue to maintain its status of not recording any case assuring them that their name will be written in gold in the State’s roll call of honor and a certificate issued to them in that regards.
