His Excellency, Professor Ben Ayade has rescheduled the take off date for the no mask no movement order to Monday, April 6, 2020.
The policy is geared towards shielding Cross Riverians from the ravaging coronavirus pandemic.
The order which was to take effect from midnight Thursday, 2nd April 2020 will now commence on Moday, 6th April, 2020.
The shift is necessitated by the need to allow the Garment Factory enough time to produce more masks for further free deliveries to the people and residents of Cross River state.
This is to ensure that more people have the masks before enforcement commences.
His Excellency  is committed to ensuring that the COVID-19 pandemic does not gain a foothold in the state.
However, the order banning movements into the state remains in force as all entry points remain shut.
While those wishing to leave Cross River can do so, no one is allowed into the state at this time.
Government appeals to all Cross Riverians to strictly comply and adhere to all the laid down preventive measures.
